James Congdon, DO, discusses neuropathy treatment using Calmare® pain therapy

James Congdon, DO, an oncologist with the Cancer Care Partnership explains a new innovative pain therapy treatment Calmare®. Patients who have received chemotherapy treatment often suffer lingering, painful neuropathy in their feet or legs. Calmare®, a non-invasive procedure has been able to reverse that pain by utilizing disposable electrodes at the areas of greatest discomfort by transmitting “no-pain” messages to the nerves. Several treatments are required, but the method is painless and in many cases patients were able to reverse their pain.

  1. Dear Doctor Just want to ask you if the pain isn’t local. If the pain cause, is radiating from the spine. Like spine injury or  spine tumor resection.. The pain will be all over below and some times unbearable and other time is ok. We can say moody pain.Such cases did you try to treat them??. I mean to say the complete nerves will be treated?? Do You stimulate with calmare the main nerves coming down or you include the stimulation directly on the spine to treat all the nerves. This is a dilemma to treat by calmare practitioner I believe.Your scientific explanation will push us to proceed treatment with enthusiasm!!Please feed back…Thanks
