How To Analyze People On Sight | GreatestAudioBooks
by Elsie Lincoln Benedict & Ralph Pain Benedict – Human Analysis, Psychology, Body Language – In this popular American book from the 1920s, “self-help” author Elsie Lincoln Benedict makes pseudo-scientific claims of Human Analysis, proposing that all humans fit into specific five sub-types. Supposedly based on evolutionary theory, it is claimed that distinctive traits can be foretold through analysis of outward appearance. While not considered to be a serious work by the scientific community, “How To Analyze People On Sight” makes for an entertaining read.

  1. I can barely understand anything the woman reading "The Thoracic Type" is saying.

Every now and then it makes sense but im having to listen to it over and over to understand what she is saying.

    Please replace this audio clip.

    It is very low quality

  3. I’m surprised this hasn’t been banned due to the “size shaming” and “fatphobia” of Chapter 1. I’m giggling away

  4. Why did they get a native Chinese speaker with less than stellar English skills to narrate a book in English? I basically missed this whole chapter because I could make out only 6 out of every 10 of her words.

  5. Thanks to this wonderfull book I am now going to kill myself. I am a fatty despite the fact that I my weight is 90 KG and I’m 187 CM tall. Never understood my nature, but now I know there is simply no hope for a fatty like me. Goodbye fellas. I hope this book was intended to fulfill this insight to a insecure person. At least I am giving the comment section an insight in why I killed myself. Maybe my parents will find my comment in the section, and perhaps they will use this in the church when they tell the tales and stories about my life, and the paradox of why I ended my life.

  6. I did not understand anything when the Chinese lady was reading! Is there another recording made by someone more understandable for that chapter?

  7. I like the effort to make this and audio book. I just don’t believe in what the book is talking about (after all it’s from the 20s).

  8. One in five people in the world are Asian. There are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It’s either my Mom or my Dad, or my older brother Colin, or my younger sister, Ho Mei Shu, who is sometimes hard to understand, but I think it is Colin.

  11. This is no better than ebonics. Fat shaming. Classy. Olive oil doesn’t make you fat as you can eat them. It LDL. 1920

  12. Basically I have body of thoracic and some mental traits but relate more to cerebral mentalities and none to the body, making me confused.
